During the past 6 months we have undertaken extensive market research and collected all comments and experiences made by our valued customers regarding ‘wildbite’s very popular café size biscotti.
We received many comments saying: “don’t change your biscotti - they are unique and we love them as they are”……but even more comments indicated that they were 'a bit big and daunting' for the customers and it was difficult to convince them to try something new and different.
We arrived at the conclusion that time has come to move on. We have developed an intermediate café biscotti reducing the size from the original 17cm to 12-13cm, thus effectively halving the weight. It makes the biscotti look 'tamer and more inviting'. The artisan baking process will of course remain exactly the same and there is no change to flavours and quality – just size and price.
The initial feed back after the transition to the new size and lower price per dozen was that our customers offered two cafe size biscotti for the same price as one cafe size cookie and furthermore giving their customers the choice of two different biscotti flavours. What a great idea !!!!
We recommend our customers to consider increasing their order quantities accordingly – meaning if you ordered 6 dozen of any one flavour before you should double the order. We believe that the reduced price offer will result in more customers being tempted to add a morsel to accompany their coffee or tea.
